The couless, rivers and lakes provide ample opportunity for a variety of recreational activities attractive to all ages. So whether you’re a sportsman, a cultural explorer, a nature lover or a leisure-seeker, there is certainly something for everyone here! The “Forks” - where the Old Man and Bow Rivers meet to form the South Saskatchewan River, is home of the sturgeon spawning grounds and is a very popular fishing destination. For hunting enthusiasts, a brand new gun range has been built and there is an annual Pheasant Festival that draws hundreds of hunters to the region from across Canada and Southern Alberta.

The Taber Aquafun Centre, open year-round, is a great place to take the family for the day or to host a birthday party or other event. There is a 200ft waterslide, children’s play lagoon, sauna, steam room, hot tub and lap pool. If you’re a golfer, there are several courses all within short driving distance including the full 18 hole Taber Golf Course and a 9 hole course located in Vauxhall.

Taber Cornfest is the largest free family festival in Western Canada and is hosted annually in the Town of Taber.
