The Town of Taber, The Municipal District of Taber, the Town of Vauxhall and the Village of Barnwell provide exceptional educational services to their residents.

In addition to the post-secondary institutions within the Municipal District of Taber listed above, the MD of Taber in situated in close proximity to several world-class institutions. The University of Lethbridge is a world-renown undergraduate research facility and the Lethbridge College offers some of the best training facilities in the country.
Located about 15 minutes from the border of the MD of Taber, The Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Lethbridge Research Centre is one of the largest research facilities within Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The research conducted there is focused on bioproducts and bioprocesses, food safety and nutrition, and sustainable production systems. They also focus their research in areas such as improved technologies for beef cattle production and sustainable and profitable crop production systems in Southern Alberta. Having this facility in Southern Alberta significantly contributes knowledge and expertise of the agricultural industry in Southern Alberta.
